Usually Philippines suffers the damage of natural disaster a lot, but Bacolod city is geographically tsunami safety zone. The effect of the typhoon is small and it usually has a less damage also. It is also the best lawful society. so the place is good for foreign students to study. Bacolod ticy has a famous festival which is called 'Masskara'. Masskara festival proceeds in the middle of October every year. The first start-up of masskara festival was in the year 1980. At that time Bacolod's economy was on the verge of crisis. In Bacolod city, the price of sugar is mainly cultivated. Sugarcane economy had fallen. in the some year Aprill 22, many people had lost their lives because there was a conflict with the liquid cargo ship and so it sank. These tragic situations overlapped. For the reason, masskara festival was held to uplift the spirit of the people in Bacolod city. The masskara that is the name of the festival with the compound which 'kara' having the meaning that it is the face in Spanish, the meaning is that i laugh always and live is connected. During the festival period, the event which is various and special takes place much. I feel and experience. Bacolod citizens are very amicable to Korean people. And it is the place which is very easy, graceful and is quiet. But is is noisy during the festival period. Because masskara festival is very fun and exciting, many people enjoyed together. it is a very enjoyable day. Therefore, Philippine life is interesting for me. I have learned many things. For example, I have learned to adjust to a new culture. I have made new friends. Lastly, I have learned to be independent. It has been an amazing life. |
