Most people visit abroad or emigrate and experience cultural differeances. Why many people have experienced it? Let me introduce my valuable experience in the philippines. There are some unfortunate children in front of fast food chain who are begging. One day, when I walked while eating some food on the street, a beggar approached me. So, I felt sorry and I gave only the food. Because most of the children are smoking or taking drugs when I give money to them. Also, there are no age limits for buying cigarette and the law isn’t strict for this. So, minor can do smoking freely. And when I saw that I was very frustrated and my heart bled. It is totally opposite in my country. Because we’ve never had elementary students who are smoking along the street. There are many jeepney, tricycle in the philippines. Jeepney is the public transportation in here. And I often ride a jeepeny. But it is inconvenient, because of car’s smoge. This cause bad for the health of the people. It is very worst to smell than my country. It was such a horrible culture shock. I was novelty that jeepney has no door. It is very dangerous. I amazed that there are only few traffic lights. Also, they didn’t obey the traffic rules. So, I can cross the street without the pedestrian lane. Moreover, I think, Driving is very dangerous for a beginner. And I want to discuss about the food culture difference. Filipino likes grilled food. They roast meat or chicken on the grill. Also, Filipino eat using their hands. The fast food restaurant sell rice with chicken. It was interesting that we have many side dishes. But the filipino only eat main dish without side dish. Food is more salty or greasy than korea. But I adapted the new kind of taste. Learnig about other cultures is fun, it’s because I can learn new things and think differently and most of all it makes me knowledgeable person. I want to experience other countries culture. Not only the philippines but others as well. Because I turn and become matured. Also, even though, we have another culture, we able to accept it. But some people didn’t aceept it. We should consider, and respect each other culture. |
