I really think that giving international aid to poor countries is beneficial. In my country’s case,after the Korean war,we also received help from other countries, like the USA,the Philipines and many more. After the war, we were getting better little by little. In1996,My country joined the OECD.only richest countries in the world can join this organization. One of the purposes of the OECD is to aid developing countries. Nowadays,my country is the 15th largest economy in the world. This only shows how far my country has grown with help of financial aid. Now, my country gives financial aid to others and has helped many countries. So, it is important that we give financial aid to less developed countries too. If you help another country now, in the future, that country will help you. So it is a win-win situation. It also improves goodwill and our relationship with other countries which will improve the trade and improve the nation’s image. For example, many countries helped the Philipines during the Yolanda typoon. One of those countries was south korea which continues to be. One of the Philipines largest economic supporters. I would like to leave you with this famous saying. “you reap what you sow.” Therefore, I encourage all nations to help as much as they can. Because the benefits will double or triple when it comes back to you. |
