| Four weeks after I came here, I have not been to many places yet because I have come to a strange place in the Philippines to adapt to culture, adapt to food and write in English. But every weekend, I spent my time studying English and one day exploring Philippine culture. Among them, the most memorable place was Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School. I went to 'Korean Convention' for students taking Korean language courses at this school. I'm a shy student who can't even introduce myself in Korean in front of a lot of people in my life. This time I introduce myself in English. I felt a level of achievement that I couldn't say. And the students of this school danced to the K-pop songs for us and also showed us traditional Filipino dances. While I was with my children, I took pictures and talked for a while, and I could feel what image I have in Korea and like Korea. I felt really proud of the time I was there, and I felt my time with the children short, and my life in Philippines was so happy. When I saw the children of the small village living and being happy with the given environment, I once again thought of Korea where I live, I thanked myself for the small things and vowed to live from day to day. |
