The goal of the trip is to learn English but it is my first time in the philippines. when I first arrived in the philippines, I noticed some old facility and streets in bad condition. However, I didn't mind much since the purpose of the trip is to improve my English skills. So, man-to-man class is the most fearful. However, I am able to gain back my confidence. Because I have a lot of good teachers. They have helped me gain confidence. My man-to-man classes has different English variables. Same as my group classes. I also have multi-media class. My first class is group class. And my teacher is teacher Maureen. Our group lesson is Speaking I have 3 classmates namely Jenny, Mickey and Hannah. They are all from Youngsan University. At first, we were hesitating to speak English due to our poor English skills. I was also shy to introduce myself in English. I was afraid they would laugh at my mistakes. Fortunately, I successfully introduce myself in group class. My teacher helped me construct my sentences. My next class is man to man with my strict and smart teacher Noreen. She taught me a lot of new words. New word that I haven't known before. She explained it in a nice and calm manner. I was nervous. Because I didn't want to disappoint her as a teacher. I wanted to understand everything she taught. I am still trying my best in vocabulary. On the other hand, there is one class that I enjoyed the most. It is my multi-media class. My instructor is Mike Crawford. He is funny, talented and smart. He has an interesting teaching method. You wont feel stress in his class. One of the best thing I learned from him is" Each one of us is unique. We can reach our goal if we put our mind and heart in it". He always encourage us to believe in ourselves. I learned how to pronunce difficult english words properly. For example, flower, really, statistic, recollect and renounce. I believe that my listening skills has improved dramatically. I could understand english conversation because of my multi-media class. I am so thankful of my classes. I would like to thank the following teachers Wency, Steve and Bless. Thank you I will never forget all of them. Because they are the reason why my english skill has improved. |
